Greater Royal Oak Democratic Club Meeting
Join us for the monthly meeting of the Greater Royal Oak Democratic Club. Our guest speakers will be Sky Ueki and Krisha Ramani from Vote16MI. Vote16MI is an organization that is working to extend voting rights to 16 and 17 year olds in local elections. Their three main goals are to strengthen civic education, increase representation for 16 and 17 year olds, and to make voting a habit.
As always, we will also be joined by city, county, and state elected officials to hear updates about progress in Royal Oak and Michigan. See you on Zoom!

Huron Valley Democratic Club Meeting
Hello Huron Valley Democrats!
We are busy planning for a Zoom meeting of our Huron Valley Democratic Club. The meeting is scheduled for February 18, 2021 at 7pm. Zoom details will follow later.
We will have two guest speakers, Kelly Breen, State House member from District 38, which represents Novi and Walled Lake. She has agreed to be our surrogate rep much like Gwen Markham, County Commissioner for a similar geographic area, does for us. She will give us an update on House happenings.
Also Dave Woodward, Chair of the Oakland County Commission will give us an update from the County Board.
We will also consider a resolution condemning Matt Maddock, Republican state house member from the 44th district, for his actions supporting the Capitol Hill Trump Terrorists. The Northville Club adopted this resolution and we would like to consider joining them in approving it.
We have had a vacancy on our Board for months now, and we need a quorum of 18 members to attend so that we can fill that position, and to pass the resolution, so please be sure to attend.
These have been tough times for all of us, and your Board needs help. We would like to solicit volunteers to chair and populate our committees.
Our committees are Membership , Precinct Delegate/Recruitment and Training, Planning. Fundraising and Finance.
I know we have just come thru a major election cycle, but there are some important local races coming up this year and we should plan to get more Democrats elected in those races. And 2022, the mid-terms will come faster than we expect! Again, please consider attending our next meeting and possibly volunteering for a committee.
