Guest Speakers, Live Music, and More!

All great environmental work starts at the local level. We have been organizing around the state and in crucial local areas, such as Oakland County with the "Turn Oakland County Green" campaign. We have been achieving real results on the ground and now we need to support the groundwork with electoral support to ensure our endorsed candidates, who are committed to our goals are put into office. With your help, our collective effort can tip the balance which is especially critical with our local redistricting happening soon. Money raised will go towards supporting our endorsed candidates up and down the ballot as well as our programmatic efforts in Oakland County such as interns, digital ads, and phone banking for candidates. If you care about climate justice, our lakes, forests, clean air, and drinkable water, please join us and support this fundraiser.

Suggested donation levels:

  • Environmental Champion: $250
  • Host: $100
  • Supporter: $50
  • Guest: $25

Join the Forrest for the 44th Phone Bank Team to 'run' a marathon.

Don't worry though, there's no need to put on your running shoes, just have your phone handy and join us for part or all of the day.

We've got a friendly team who will walk you through the set up, step-by-step.

Your time and energy is needed to tell voters that they have a candidate this November who represents the community values of Springfield Twp, Milford, White Lake, Highland, and Waterford. After the primary, it is more important than ever to keep the momentum going so Denise Forrest can win this race!

At Marathon #1, we made 667 calls to District 44 voters. Let's top that!

Shifts are:

  • 10am-12pm
  • 12pm-2pm
  • 2pm-4pm
  • 4pm-6pm

Purchase tickets HERE

We are thrilled to announce a special virtual event: "Elect the Damn Nurse," with special guest Governor Gretchen Whitmer on August 25 from 5-6pm. Everyone on this campaign is working hard every day to flip this seat from red to blue. As you know, our opponent has downplayed the seriousness of the COVID19 epidemic and wants to impeach our Governor because he thinks she went too far to save thousands of lives. We NEED a nurse in the House! Help us continue our momentum today by purchasing a ticket to "Elect the Damn Nurse." If you can't make it to the event, you can still make a donation. Together we will win.

Zoom link released after ticket purchase.

**We ask that participants commit to both dates of this two-part experience** Sun. Aug 23 & Sun. Sep 13

We are in the midst of a national conversation about systemic racism and a pandemic that disproportionately impacts Black people and communities of color. Many of us who are not the primary targets of systemic racism and violence may find ourselves wondering what we can do to be of help.

Join Congressman Andy Levin and trainers from Allies for Change for an online training on federal policy; examples of systemic racism in our region; and building an active, anti-racist identity.

This training is free, but there are a limited number of spots available to have the most impactful conversation. Residents of Michigan's 9th Congressional District will have priority registration.

Please register at the link above. If there are spaces remaining, you will receive a confirmation email with information on how to join the call.
