Sierra Club Michigan Chapter: Green Wave Forum

The Green Wave Forum is a chance for Sierra Club endorsed candidates running in competitive districts in Oakland County to discuss their environmental platform and explain their plans to protect Michigan's and Oakland County's environment and communities when they win in 2020! The goal is to give these candidates the opportunity to introduce themselves to Sierra Club members and discuss their environmental priorities.

Candidates will be given 5-10 minutes to introduce themselves and discuss their environmental platform. A question and answer period will follow, with audience members providing questions that will be managed by a moderator.

Nate is putting in the work for our community every day, so we need to get to work too. He prioritizes education as a former teacher, healthcare, and working families.

The phone bank will start with a quick zoom training at noon where we will hear from Congressman Levin and Rep. Shannon, and so that we can all meet each other and brush up on our calling skills!

All you need to join in is a laptop or tablet, your phone, and ideally a pair of headphones and a coffee.

Hosted by Ko Meline from Little Steven's Underground Garage and the Dirtbombs and Oak Park Precinct Delegates Laura Rock and Gabe Dodson from Old Empire, Signs for the Times is an Oakland County Democratic Party fundraiser to get Biden/Harris signs into the yards of people who can't afford them.

We don't have that DeVos dough to throw around, and we need to build enthusiasm in the working-class neighborhoods that are the backbone of the Democratic Party. So, chip in if you can, and let's do everything we can to get our country back on the right path.
