We have an exciting program planned with the following speakers:

• Senator Rosemary Bayer, whose district includes Oxford Township, will bring us an update on Gun Legislation in the Michigan legislature, recent new gun safety bills she has introduced and how we can be involved.
• Mark Brewer will provide important information about the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.  If enacted by the required number of states, it will guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes across the country.  A petition drive is underway in Michigan right now.

Mike McGuinness, Executive Director of the Oakland History Center, will take us on a historical "tour" of Oakland County!

Mike will share entertaining, historical, sometimes political information about the evolution of Oakland County over the generations. While only in his 30’s, Mike is a long-time Democratic activist, and his enthusiasm is contagious!
