Precinct Delegate Orientation & Training Webinar

Wednesday, Apr 29, 2020 - 02:04 pm

Precinct Delegate Orientation & Training Webinar

Register HERE

Join us for virtual PD Orientation and Training through Zoom! This will be the same interactive, informative and amazing training as was originally scheduled prior to the Coronavirus situation. There will be lots of time for your questions and to make sure you have all of the information that you need.

We will be addressing:

  • What it means to be a Precinct Delegate in this time of social distancing and no canvassing
  • Understanding new Voter Rights - Absentee ballot, online registration, same-day registering, etc.
  • How to be ready to return to person-to-person outreach in our precincts this summer
  • How to file an Affidavit of Identity and get on the ballot while we are all sheltering at home

You will have to "bring" your own snacks to this training, but that is the only difference! This orientation and training is perfect for first-time candidates for Precinct Delegate who are considering taking this important step to help elect Democrats. It is also suitable for current or returning Precinct Delegates who would like a refresher or to check out what's new!

A link to the Zoom meeting, information about an opportunity for you to test Zoom, and other materials and details about future trainings will be provided to you when we receive your registration.

Presenters will include: Laurie Evans & Theresa Fougnie, Co-Chairs of the Recruitment and Training Committee, John & Susan Erich, DPDOC Co-Chairs

This year is the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage. This makes it even more appropriate to repeat our "A Woman's Place is in the House: The House of Representatives" Forum.

As in 2018, we have another field of amazing women running to represent our communities. We have invited the candidates from districts 38, 39, 43, and 44. At this point, Kelly Breen (38), Megan McAllister (38), Julia Pulver (39), Nicole Breadon (43), and Denise FOrrest (44) have agreed to participate.

We anticipate a lively discussion and a unique opportunity to get to know the candidates better.
