Coffee, Computers, and Conversation with Senator Rosemary Bayer - Facebook Live

Facebook Event Page

Grab your computer and your coffee and come chat with me from the comfort of your own home! Currently, my regular coffee chit chats are being held on-line on Facebook but the basic concept is the same - open and honest dialogue in an informal setting. It will obviously be a bit different, but we will make it work.

Hope you will join me!

Sen. Rosemary Bayer Virtual Coffee Chit Chat - Let's Talk Workplace Safety

Facebook Event Page

Join me for a special edition of my weekly virtual coffee hour Thursday, May 28th at 6pm. Rather than our usual Friday time, this one is set for Thursday evening so all of you who are back to work can join in.

I'm excited to announce that joining me at this coffee hour will be Sean Egan, Deputy Director of Labor, Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Development. We will discuss workplace guidelines, that new hotline to protect Michigan workers, and necessary precautions employers must take to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

As the curve continues to flatten and many businesses reopen their doors, learn more about Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) issued workplace guidelines for employers and employees and the new hotline, 855-SAFEC19 (855-723-3219), to answer guideline questions and further protect Michigan's workforce from the spread of COVID-19.

Of course, as always, I am open to any and all questions about happenings in Lansing and around the state. I hope you can join us.

Virtual Coffee Chit Chat with State Senator Rosemary Bayer

Facebook Event Page

This week's Friday virtual coffee hour will be held from 5-6pm and will focus on legal problems and challenges caused or exacerbated by the pandemic. Joining me will be Ashley E. Lowe, the Chief Executive Officer of Lakeshore Legal Aid, a not-for-profit law firm serving low-income people, seniors, and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout Southeast Michigan. Ms. Lowe will discuss a wide array of legal concerns including custody and parenting time, domestic violence, unemployment cases, eviction concerns and more!

So, grab your computer and your coffee, and come chat with me from the comfort of your own home! While we are officially "staying home to stay safe," my regular coffee chit chats are being moved online to Facebook but the basic concept is the same - open and honest dialogue in an informal setting. It will obviously be a bit different, but I think we will make it work.

I am planning on hosting these every Friday for the next several weeks and I hope you will join me! Each week we will try to bring in different Special Guests.
