Since his election to the California Assembly, Rob Bonta has passed significant legislation regarding immigrant rights, protecting teacher pensions, criminal justice reform and climate change. As California's first Filipino-American legislator and the son of civil rights activists, Rob's focus is always on justice, inclusion, equity, and opportunity. He currently serves as Assistant Majority Leader.

Recognized nationally as a champion for public education, women's rights, and the environment, in 2018 Padma Kuppa became the first Democrat to represent her Metro Detroit district. As an engineer and a community builder, Rep. Kuppa stands on the front line advocating for those without a voice and bringing people together. She serves as Assistant Minority Whip.
