Southfield/Lathrup Village Democratic Club Free Food Drive
The Southfield/Lathrup Village Democratic Club is commemorating Juneteenth by having a free food drive on Friday, June 19, 2020 from 1-3pm at the Southfield Parks & Recreation Building. The City of Southfield is partnering with our Juneteenth event and our major sponsor is Clarence Dass Law Firm.
We are accepting nonperishable donations on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 26000 Evergreen on Thursdsay, June 18 from 9am to 5pm.
We also need volunteers to help stuff the bags on Thursday, June 18 from 9am to 5pm. The volunteers must wear masks to participate.
The event will take place on June 19 2020 from 1-3pm at the Southfield Municipal parking lot. The food items will be placed in the trunks of the vehicles with no questions asked. We are planning to distribute at least 100 to 200 bags of food.
