Please join us for our Thursday June 17, 2021 meeting starting at 7 pm. First, we will hear from Dr. Char Newton and her staff from Legacy Mental Health. Their topic is Healing Race Based Trauma. After their presentation will have the opportunity to ask questions. Then we will have a panel presentation by the Black Lives Activist Group on Race Reconciliation, Juneteenth, and the Black Wall Street Massacre also known as the Tulsa Race Massacre. Our panelists will be Pastor Edward Pruett (Mayoral Candidate for Westland), Leslie Windless, Henry Ford College Union President, and Dedra Allen, a Black Lives Activist. After their presentation they will lead the discussion on “Where do we go from here?” Please submit questions in advance if possible, so our speakers can be better prepared to answer any of your queries.
