February 2023 Monthly Meeting

Possible Location Change

You may have heard that there was small fire at the Royal Oak Senior Center. This might prevent us from having our meeting there this Saturday, Februrary 4th at 10am.

Our preference is to meet at the Senior Center if that is possible. We will find out tomorrow. If we cannot meet at the Senior Center we will attempt to meet at the Royal Oak Library. If their auditorium is already booked, then our emergency backup location is Fifth Avenue, 215 W. 5th Street in downtown Royal Oak. In sum, we definitely will meet Saturday, February 4th at 10am, but we will not know where until sometime tomorrow.

Our guest speakers will be from "No Future Without Today," a group of student survivors from the Oxford school shooting. The group is pressing for gun control in our state legislature. Find out how you can help.

Start each meeting with a song?

We're thinking about starting each meeting with song. You may remember we had a club choir before the covid lockdown; this would be a little different, an "everyone" sing-along. Please complete this brief survey if you are interested in helping to get this started: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSccZp0KGbhgT7Y5246OmXOPgzm96hzLzgBPSePytkra9SMErQ/viewform
