2013 Labor Day Parade in Detroit
Please join us as we walk with Organized Labor in the Annual Detroit Labor Day Parade Monday Sept. 2 8:00 am to Noon
Step off on Michigan and Trumbull, end at the UAW-Ford National Training Center
For
over 100 years, working families have gathered on Labor Day and marched
down the streets of Detroit in an act of solidarity. This year's theme
is "The Dream Continues: Jobs, Justice, and Peace."
Join us
this year as we continue this proud tradition! We will begin lining up
at 7:00 am. Unions lined up on Trumbull will step off at 9, while
unions and organizations lined up on Michigan will step off at 9:30.
Our route will take us down Michigan Ave. Vehicles will turn off on
Cass, where as marchers will continue down Michigan Ave., and turn right
on Washington Blvd. Our parade will end on Washington and Jefferson in
front of the UAW-Ford National Training Center, where we will have a
brief program.
