Join Southfield Parks & Recreation on Saturday, February 12 from 7-10 pm in the Southfield Pavilion for Conversations & Cocktails, an evening of music and spoken word celebrating the contributions of African Americans to society and the world with some of metro Detroit’s most notable poets and musicians. There will also be a cash bar and food available for purchase. General Admission tickets are $10 per person and are available for purchase at the Parks & Recreation Information Desk located inside the Parks & Recreation Building at 26000 Evergreen Road or online at https://bit.ly/3rtCb6k. All tickets must be purchased in advance due to capacity limits for this program.

Conversations & Cocktails will feature Alex Goss & Detroit Soul Rhythm Band performing R&B and Soul music from the 70’s 80’s & 90’s as well as spoken word with notable poets Rosemarie Wilson a.k.a. One Single Rose and Bernita Bradley along with singer Anthony P. McGlaun and drummer Marwan Amen-Ra, hosted by Ber-Henda Williams. Please note that all individuals must wear a face mask while inside the Southfield Pavilion due to the continued increase of positive Covid-19 cases throughout the metro area.
