On December 1, 2021, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments for Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, a case centered on Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban that directly challenges Roe v. Wade.

Let’s be clear: If the anti-choice, anti-freedom supermajority on the Supreme Court upholds Mississippi’s abortion ban, the constitutional right to abortion recognized in Roe will be undone. And, if Roe falls the rights of Michigan women are in peril.

The Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA), would protect the right to access abortion care free from bans and medically unnecessary restrictions, and safeguard the federal right to abortion should Roe v. Wade fall. The Senate must pass WHPA so President Biden can sign it into law.
