345 East 9 Mile Road
Ferndale, MI 48220

On Wednesday August 25, WDET invites listeners out for a drink with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and Detroit Today host, Stephen Henderson, to talk about politics and policy. The twist - the audience sets the agenda. This event will be held at Otus Supply, located at 345 East 9 Mile Road, Ferndale, MI 48220. Henderson and the Detroit Today team will be discussing your input about the document that shaped our nation, The Constitution. They will dive into different topics about how you think the Constitution is working in 2021, what you think should be added, deleted or changed and more! The event will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For more information or to register for this free event, Click Here.

This conversation is a part of an ongoing book club series hosted by WDET and Stephen Henderson this summer (July 4-Septmeber 17) that is aimed at unpacking the Constitution's origins, interpretations, and intentions. The series has brought on legal experts and historians to help enrich the dialogue surrounding the interpretation of the Constitution and how it has affected contemporary issues. WDET’s goal is to deliver on their commitment to community service by increasing understanding of the U.S. Constitution, its origins, intent, and relevance today during a time of political divide where facts seem up for debate.

Please help us to spread the message about this segment and series to enrich dialogue and help educate our community. You can sign up to have a pocket-sized Constitution delivered to your door to follow along in the conversations. Click here, to sign up.

Please also consider signing up for the Book Club Facebook page to have meaningful and respectful conversations in deepening your understanding and perspective of the Constitution.
