The Oakland County Board of Commissioners' Celebration of Women's Suffrage Ad Hoc Committee, in partnership with Oakland University and Oakland Community College Royal Oak Campus, will be hosting a free speaking series on African American Women and the Women's Suffrage Movement by award-winning author, speaker and educator Michelle Duster. Ms. Duster is the great-granddaughter of Ida B. Wells, an early leader in the civil rights movement.

The events will take place Monday, 2/10 at Oakland University and Tuesday, 2/11 at Oakland Community College Royal Oak Campus.
