VOTE ON AUGUST 5:  Be Part of Moving Michigan Forward

Be a Write-In Candidate!  Filing Deadline August 1

YOU have a last chance to run for local office or precinct delegate on the August 5 ballot.  This is as a write-in candidate.  In
a few communities in Oakland County, the Democratic Party does not have
candidates for all positions on the August 5 ballot.  This could
include local offices and/or precinct delegate for your precinct.  You
can run for an office and also for precinct delegate simultaneously.
In
order for votes for your name to be counted, you have to register to be
a write-in.  Forms are at your local Clerk’s office.  This form must be
turned back into the Clerk by their office close of day on Friday,
August 1.

8th District US House Candidate Bob Alexander's campaign kick off event in OC
Change is coming to mid-Michigan, and Bob Alexander is leading the way in his run for the 8th
District US House seat.  His kick off in Oakland County last week
reflected his dedication to American jobs, energy innovation, and
environmental stewardship.  As a demonstration of how to foster
America's energy independence, protect the environment, and safeguard
Michigan jobs, Alexander took delivery of the new Malibu Hybrid, a car
that has a better MPG rating and a smaller carbon footprint than the
Honda Accord.  See the story in the July 25 Oakland Press: Click here to read the article.
