Thank You for Making Pasta Night a Huge Success!

Pasta Night spotlighted a true Democratic champion of Oakland County:  State Rep. Aldo Vagnozzi.  Speakers included U.S. Sen. Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow. 

Pasta Night! 

Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow headlined OCDP’s gala fundraiser Pasta Night! March 9.    The event  drew hundreds of activists and elected officials to honor a true Democratic champion of Oakland County:  State Rep. Aldo Vagnozzi.   In addition to Levin and Stabenow, speakers included State Board of Education President Kathleen Straus; the Oakland Democratic delegation in the Michigan House; and candidate for 9th District US House, Gary Peters.   OCDP Chair Dave Woodward was Master of Ceremonies.                                                                                                                           

Aldo received OCDP’s “Keeping the Light of Democracy Alive” award "for combining community service with elected political office, to give us 42 years of amazing activism and service."

Pasta Night was presented in response to your requests for a fun and affordable event that motivates activists and helps fund Democratic campaigns in Oakland County and the State of Michigan

          The event was held at UAW Local 653 670 E. Walton Road, Pontiac MI 48340 

           Tickets were $25 and for an additional donation, guests joined “ALDO’s ALLIES.”  Their special notes to Aldo went into a memory book.

Aldo’s Achievements:
• First mayor of Farmington Hills to be directly elected
• First Democratic State Representative from
Farmington/ Farmington Hills
• Tim Dinan Award for service to Oakland County
• Walked 64.3 miles from Farmington to Lansing just to prove he was not to old to "RUN" for State Representative
