In March of this year, Governor Whitmer enacted Executive Order 2020-35, rescinded by Executive Order 2020-65 (COVID-19), declaring the suspension of all in-person instruction for K-12 schools in Michigan and addressed many big-picture concerns such as testing and deadlines - but there are still a lot of questions about individual districs' plans and what they mean for students and parents.

Joining State Representative Brenda Carter, Superintendent Mrs. Kelley Williams (Pontiac), Superintendent Dr. Gerald Hill (West Bloomfield), and Superintendent Dr. James Schwarz (Avondale), will be providing how their district coped with the implementation of E.O. 65; discussing those district-specific plans, providing resources for students and families, and then we'll be taking questions from our audience. I would also like to hear the biggest obstacles each district has faced and how the state can better prepare its education system when faced with a crisis such as the Covid-19 pandemic.

This google form will allow you to ask questions prior to the discussion, which will be answered live by Rep. Carter or one of our guests.
